What to Wear?

Shoes are the most important part of your attire. Both ladies and men need shoes with a very thin, genuine leather sole. Any rubber-sole shoe (such as sneakers, loafers, jogging, etc.) will hamper sliding and dancing. Some rehearsal areas may require dancing with socks only - please check in advance. Please never enter the dance floor with your street shoes.

Ladies need medium-heel shoes (5-6 cm), with covered toes and heels, preferably with an ankle strap.
Please consider wearing a dress or skirt at milongas.

Men need pointed shoes with a heel of around 3 cm.
Consider wearing elegant attire at milongas (no jeans please).

Laura is tanguera herself and runs dance-shoes distribution, she is a regular at all milongas in Sofia and you can see her merchandise at: www.laurashoes.site40.net
